AI Editing is no substitute for a human

I received my edited manuscript Monday. I couldn’t believe how many mistakes I found. The story was not changed, but extra spaces were inserted and were not necessary. Dialogue by different people were put on the same line. On the first seven pages, I found seven mistakes made by the editor. After a call to my publisher rep. I found out they used an AI editor. I suggested they go back to a human for their editing. I sent back the original text.

Formatting the manuscript shouldn’t take long, since everything else is complete. Hope to have in available before Xmas.
